The Deputy National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okey Osuoha, has confirmed that the internal crisis rocking the party has officially come to an end.
Speaking on Arise News on Monday, shortly after the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, Osuoha said all factions within the PDP have agreed to put their differences aside and work together.
“All issues have been settled. There are no factions anymore. Every party involved has agreed to move forward,” he stated.
A key resolution from the NEC meeting was the formal confirmation of Samuel Anyanwu as the party’s National Secretary, ending months of internal wrangling over the position.
Osuoha described the NEC session as peaceful and unified, noting that all members present supported the decisions taken.
“It was a unanimous decision, and it’s a very welcome development. I was happy because Nigerians are watching. They look up to the PDP as the bastion of democracy,” he added.
The reconciliation comes at a time when the PDP is working to rebuild public trust and strengthen its base following the 2023 general elections and internal leadership disputes. Party stakeholders now say the focus will shift to uniting members and preparing for upcoming political challenges.
