Deji Adeyanju Cheers Coalition Against APC, Declares PDP ‘Finally Dead’

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju has praised opposition leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President David Mark, and others for uniting to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Adeyanju expressed joy over key Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) figures dumping the party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which they have adopted as their new platform to wrest power from President Bola Tinubu’s APC.

In a Facebook post, Deji called the move a sign that the PDP is “finally dead” and applauded opposition leaders like Atiku and Peter Obi for putting aside personal ambitions to form a united front.

“I’m proud of the opposition for coming together finally. Special thanks to Atiku, Obi and other top opposition leaders for putting aside their personal ambition to make this happen”

He also urged other opposition figures, including Rabiu Kwankwaso, to join the coalition, noting that such unity should have happened before the 2023 elections.

“I hope Kwankwaso will also do same. This is what they should have done in 2023. Whenever you wake up is your morning. Good morning to the opposition”, the post added.
