Kwara United players have been granted a 10-day break by the club management following their hard-fought win in the President Federation Cup final.

The Harmony Boys defeated Abakaliki FC 4-3 on penalties last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. Both teams played a tight match, ending 0-0 after regular time before Kwara United clinched the title in the shootout.

The club’s officials and players are expected to return to training on Thursday, July 11, to prepare for the upcoming season. Kwara United will begin their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup this September.

The new 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season is scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 22. This break gives the team time to rest and recharge before competing on both the continental and domestic fronts.
