Nigerian singer and rapper, Oladotun Alade, popularly known as Dotman, has expressed deep regret over his decision to relocate from Nigeria to the United States.

The Star Life hitmaker made the revelation in a recent post on his Instagram page, where he spoke about his personal struggles abroad. According to Dotman, life in the US has not been easy, and he has been going through difficult times in silence.

“Today, I regret ever deciding to leave Nigeria and move to the US. I have been struggling so much in silence. I haven’t seen my kids for about two years now,” he wrote.

Dotman’s story has drawn attention to a growing trend among Nigerian celebrities who have chosen to relocate abroad in recent years. While many move in search of better opportunities, some, like Dotman, find the transition challenging and emotionally draining.

In the past decade, several prominent names in the Nigerian entertainment industry — including Asake, Eldee, Dr. Sid, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Rita Dominic, Tacha, Uche Jombo, and Emeka Ike — have also relocated overseas, with mixed experiences.
