Nigerian international and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly accepted a €16 million per year contract offer from Turkish club Galatasaray, signaling a likely permanent move away from Italy.
According to Italian sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old striker has already expressed his desire to continue playing for Galatasaray after spending the entire last season with the Turkish giants.
Osimhen was instrumental in helping Galatasaray win the Turkish Super League title and the League Cup during his loan spell. Despite interest from some European clubs, top teams have not made strong moves to sign him permanently.
The Turkish club, backed by its sponsors, is ready to meet Osimhen’s €75 million release clause at Napoli to finalize the transfer.
