Just days after stepping down as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

The new appointment was officially announced during the inauguration of newly appointed FAAN board members held in Abuja.

Ganduje resigned from his position as APC National Chairman last week, citing “urgent and personal matters.” He had assumed the role in 2023 but faced internal party tensions during his time in office.

Following his resignation, Ali Bukar Dalori has been named as the new APC National Chairman.

Ganduje’s latest appointment puts him at the helm of the agency responsible for managing Nigeria’s airports, a move that keeps him within the federal government’s inner circle despite his exit from party leadership.
