Robbers Tie Security, Loot Efab Estate

    Share

Residents of Efab Global Estate in the Life Camp area of Abuja were thrown into panic in the early hours of Tuesday, May 21, 2025, when a group of armed robbers stormed the estate, tied up security guards, and looted several homes.

The robbers reportedly gained entry into the estate around 4:05 a.m. by breaching the rear perimeter fence. During the operation, they tied up two security personnel and injured another who attempted to resist. The injured guard was later rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), where he is said to be in stable condition.

Sources said the robbers moved quickly from house to house, stealing valuable items including mobile phones and laptops. One of the victims was allegedly forced to make a bank transfer under duress, a detail police are now using to trace the assailants.

The incident triggered a distress call to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Life Camp Division, and patrol teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene. However, the robbers had fled before officers arrived.

Residents have called on authorities to improve security infrastructure, especially around estate boundaries, to prevent future attacks. Many expressed concerns over the ease with which the attackers gained access and carried out the operation without immediate resistance.
