    Suspected Herdsmen Kill Farmer in Fresh Benue Attack

    A young farmer, Lucky Tsetim, has been killed by suspected armed herdsmen in Tse-Kalema, a community in Mbazun, Atogbenda, Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

    Local sources said the attack happened on Tuesday while the victim was working on his farm. The killing has sparked fresh fear in the community, with residents saying attacks by suspected Fulani herders are becoming more frequent in the area.

    Tse-Kalema and other nearby villages in Ukum LGA have seen repeated violence in recent years, often linked to clashes between farmers and herders over land and grazing routes.

    Community members are calling on security agencies to act fast and prevent further bloodshed.

    As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Police Command had not released an official statement. Calls to the Command’s Spokesperson, DSP Udeme Edet, went unanswered.
