The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has officially petitioned the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi, and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, to investigate and prosecute Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate (Kwam 1), following an incident at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The petition came after the musician allegedly obstructed an aircraft operated by domestic airline ValueJet, an action described by the NCAA as a serious breach of aviation safety rules and airport protocols. The agency made the announcement in a statement on Thursday on social media platform X.

The trouble started on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, when Kwam 1 was scheduled to board a flight from Abuja to Lagos. Airport security officials stopped him from boarding because he tried to carry a flask containing more than the permitted 100 ml of liquid, violating aviation security regulations.

During the confrontation, Kwam 1 reportedly poured the liquid, confirmed to be alcohol, on one of the security officers. He then defied security orders by leaving the terminal and stepping onto the tarmac, physically blocking the plane from taxiing even after the doors had been closed.

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, confirmed that Kwam 1 has been placed on a no-fly list by Nigerian airline operators due to the incident.
