Why I Prefer Younger Men – Nollywood Star Lolo1

    Share

Nollywood actress and media personality Omotunde Adebowale-David, widely known as Lolo1, has caused a stir with her candid revelations about her romantic preferences.

In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, the 47-year-old, who is also famously recognized as “Adaku” in Jenifa’s Diary, spoke unapologetically about her attraction to younger men.

“My taste in men is very weird,” she admitted. “I like young people; I don’t like old people. I like men with long hair and earrings. I just like someone who is visually appealing. Gone are the days when you were looking for a God-fearing man. Are you even God-fearing yourself?”

Her comments sparked intrigue, with many applauding her for being honest and unashamed about her preferences.

Lolo1 emphasized that her taste is far from conventional.

“My taste in men is in a class of its own,” she said. “It’s not because I act like a broke woman; I’m very bougie. I like good things. Any man that isn’t Eurocentric, I’ll find it difficult to connect with because I’m a fine-dining girl. You won’t catch me on a date at an amala spot.”

She further explained that a suitor would need to match her level of sophistication and exposure.

“To court someone like me, you must be well-traveled and understand diverse lifestyles. That way, I don’t have to spend time explaining what I want or need,” she added.

Despite her specific preferences, Lolo1 said she remains open to love and is willing to embrace a relationship if she meets the right person.

    Lessons From Her Past Marriage

Lolo1’s openness about her romantic life extends beyond her preferences. She has also spoken about the end of her marriage and the lessons she learned.

In a 2023 interview with Television Continental (TVC), the mother of four reflected on the challenges of marriage and why hers did not last.

“For me, life happened,” she said. “A lot of times, people go into marriage with only a little understanding of what they’re getting into. They don’t have a clear picture, and unfortunately, their lives unfold during the marriage, making it a make-or-mar situation. I think that’s what happened to me.”
