Ghanaian Man Marries 3 Wives in One Week

A Dubai-based Ghanaian man, Nicholas Mbir, has stirred widespread reactions after marrying three women in one week and celebrating all three marriages in one grand ceremony.

The unusual wedding took place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Sakoro Park near the Salvation Divine Miracle Church in Winneba, located in the Effutu Municipal District of Ghana’s Central Region.

Mbir, a choirmaster, tied the knot with Angelina Prah, Grace Agyarko, and Esther Abass — all of whom are reportedly members of the same church choir he leads. The engagement ceremonies were held on separate days, starting Wednesday, April 23, through to Friday, April 25, and culminated in a joint wedding celebration on Saturday.

Photos from the event were shared online by Abeku Adams Ekumfi, who praised the move as a spiritual breakthrough. “The myth Christianity forced on us is broken by the power of the Holy Spirit,” he declared in a Facebook post.

Abeku also revealed that Mbir is now the Regional President of the Brotherhood of Iron and Gold (BIG) in the West African sub-region — an organization that appears to support polygamous relationships and traditional values.

The marriage has sparked conversations across social media, with many expressing both shock and admiration over Mbir’s decision to marry three women — not only in the same week but from the same choir group.

While polygamy is culturally accepted in some parts of Ghana and West Africa, it remains controversial, especially within Christian communities.
