Nigerian street-hop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been sentenced to three months in prison by a Chief Magistrate Court in Ifo, Ogun State.
The court found him guilty of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest during an incident that occurred on November 18, 2022, in the Okeosa, Ilogbo area.
Chief Magistrate Babajide Ilo delivered the judgment, stating that Portable was guilty on two counts.

The charge sheet detailed that Portable, along with others now at large, conspired to commit assault and unlawfully assaulted one Osimosu Emmanuel Oluwafemi by beating him.
Additionally, Portable was accused of stealing musical equipment, including a Yamaha H55 studio monitor, a complete Studio 2 interface connection cable, and an AKG P420 condenser microphone.
These actions were said to be contrary to and punishable under Sections 517, 351, 384, and 390 of the Criminal Code Laws of Ogun State, Nigeria, 2006.
Portable was initially arraigned before the Magistrate Court in Ifo in April 2023 on a three-count charge related to assault and theft of musical instruments.
He was granted bail in the sum of N300,000, with two sureties from his immediate family.
However, he failed to appear at subsequent hearings, leading to his remand.
