Trump Says Peace Talks Ongoing Between Israel, Iran

    Share

Former United States President, Donald Trump, has said that peace is possible between Israel and Iran, as discussions and meetings are already underway to reduce tensions between the two longtime rivals.

Trump made the statement on his official platform, saying, “Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal,” while expressing confidence that calm would return to the region soon.

He compared the situation to past efforts during his time in office, claiming he helped ease tensions between India and Pakistan, Serbia and Kosovo, and also helped calm disputes between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile dam.

“There is peace, at least for now, because of my intervention, and it will stay that way,” Trump said.

The former president added that “many calls and meetings” are taking place behind the scenes to avoid a wider conflict in the Middle East. He also stated that although he receives little credit for his efforts, “the people understand.”

Trump’s comments come as the international community continues to push for de-escalation and dialogue. He ended his message with a call to “Make the Middle East Great Again,” echoing his campaign slogan.

Global powers including the United Nations, United States, Russia, and China have all urged restraint, while diplomatic efforts continue to prevent further violence in the already volatile region.
