Armed men suspected to be kidnappers attacked several travellers along the busy Nasarawa-Keffi Road on Sunday night, leaving one person missing and many shaken.

The attack occurred around 8:15 p.m. between Gunki and Marmara communities. Witnesses said the gunmen shot wildly into the air, forcing vehicles to stop abruptly. Passengers abandoned their vehicles and fled into nearby bushes for safety.

Two victims, Sunday Uche and Mohammed Babawuro, who were travelling in a Toyota Hiace Bus with plate number FKY 728 ZA, were later rescued. All other passengers have also been accounted for.

However, one man, Adoga Gupada Aruwa, who is believed to be a staff member of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), is still missing. His Toyota Highlander SUV was found at the scene with a bullet hole in the engine compartment, but no blood stains were discovered.

Security operatives have launched a search-and-rescue mission to locate the missing man. Authorities are urging members of the public with any helpful information to report to the nearest police station.
