Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially resigned from his role.

Dingyadi, who served for over three years, tendered his resignation through a letter dated June 25, 2025, and addressed to the party’s Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Iliya Damagum.

In the letter, he expressed gratitude to the PDP for the opportunity to serve, saying: “While I appreciate the support and prayers of the PDP family during my stay in this office, I remain appreciative of all the contributions given to me to ensure the success of my assignment.”

Dingyadi did not state any specific reason for his resignation, which comes at a time when the party is battling internal disagreements and leadership issues.

Known for his active media presence, Dingyadi regularly spoke for the PDP across radio, TV, and print platforms. He has long been involved in Nigerian politics and media strategy, having served in key roles during the Obasanjo/Atiku era, the Yar’Adua political movement, the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and Governor Aminu Tambuwal’s administration.
