    NNPCL Slashes Petrol Price

    Share

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cut the pump price of petrol at its retail outlets in Abuja. The price has dropped from N945 to N910 per litre, a N30 reduction.

The new price took effect on Saturday at NNPCL filling stations across the Federal Capital Territory, including locations in Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4.

This price cut comes just days after Dangote Refinery reduced its ex-depot petrol price from N880 to N840 per litre, citing falling global crude oil prices.

Following Dangote’s move, members of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) also reduced pump prices at their stations. In Abuja, petrol now sells between N930 and N940, down from N945–N975, while in Lagos, the price has dropped from N925 to N890 per litre.

The fuel price reductions are expected to bring some relief to Nigerians, who have been struggling with high transportation and energy costs. However, experts note that prices may still fluctuate depending on global oil trends and exchange rates.
