The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of its mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was held on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday evening, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, said a total of 11,161 results have been released so far. These are from candidates who sat for the mop-up exam out of the 96,838 candidates that were scheduled to participate.
The mop-up examination was organized for candidates who missed the main UTME earlier in the year due to technical issues, biometric problems, or other verified reasons.
However, the board noted that some candidates have complained of not being able to access their results. According to Dr. Benjamin, many of these candidates did not follow the correct procedure for checking their results.
“Candidates who are not able to access their results have been found not to have fully complied with the instruction to send ‘UTMERESULT’ (as one word text) to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number (SIM) used during registration for the UTME,” the statement explained.
JAMB has advised all affected candidates to follow this correct method in order to retrieve their results.
The board continues to urge candidates to read and follow all instructions carefully to avoid unnecessary issues.
