Wike Warns PDP Members Against Ego, Defends Anyanwu’s Position

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has sent a strong message to members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), urging them to drop their ego and focus on learning and unity within the party.

Speaking at the commissioning of a newly constructed interchange bridge linking Wole Soyinka Way to Murtala Mohammed Expressway in Abuja, Wike criticized what he described as unnecessary pride among some party members.

“Money does not solve everything,” Wike said. “If you want to learn, come, we will teach you.”

The former Rivers State governor also addressed recent talks about the position of Samuel Anyanwu, saying there was no need for any directive to reinstate him as National Secretary of the PDP. According to Wike, Anyanwu has been actively performing his duties and remains in office.

“Samuel Anyanwu does not need anyone to direct him to resume,” he stated.
