    Ekiti Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing, Arrest Two Suspects

    A violent clash in the Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, ended in tragedy on Saturday evening when a man, identified as Deji Ojo, was fatally stabbed.

    Deji Ojo was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead after sustaining stab wounds during the fight.

    The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Eribo, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. He assured the public that the police will do everything possible to bring those responsible to justice and urged residents to remain calm as the probe continues.

    Police spokesperson, SP Sunday Abutu, said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack. According to the police, the incident began around 6:45 pm when an unidentified man came to Atikankan to distribute alms to homeless people.

    Two rival groups of suspected hoodlums then confronted the man, each demanding money. The situation quickly escalated into a fight, during which Deji Ojo was stabbed.
