Nigerian music legend, 2Face Idibia, has issued a public apology after stirring controversy with his recent comments about men and relationships.

During an interview with Nedu Wazobia, 2Face claimed that men are not naturally built to be sexually committed to just one woman. The statement sparked a strong backlash on social media, with many Nigerians criticizing the singer’s view.

Reacting to the criticism, the 49-year-old artist shared a heartfelt apology on his Instagram page on Wednesday morning. He admitted his words were wrong and expressed regret for the way he said it.

“I know I have messed up with what I said. I’m going to face the consequences. I said it because I wanted people to understand me, but maybe I didn’t say it the right way. I own up to my mistake,” he said.

He also apologized to his wife, Natasha, and acknowledged the respect his fans have for him, promising to be more careful with his words in the future.
