A young man was killed and his father kidnapped in a violent attack by unknown armed men in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, in a remote settlement near Doka Maijama’a Village. The attackers, armed with cutlasses and other weapons, stormed the home of Malam Isiya Abdullahi.
During the attack, 25-year-old Suleiman Isiya tried to defend his family but was stabbed multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.
The attackers also abducted his father, 60-year-old Malam Isiya Abdullahi, taking him to an unknown location.
Sources say security agencies have launched a search operation to rescue the abducted man and bring the perpetrators to justice.
This latest attack adds to the growing insecurity in Kaduna State, where banditry and kidnappings have caused fear and disruption in many communities.
