The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has seized cocaine concealed in lipsticks and property title documents meant for shipment to the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
The drugs were discovered on Thursday, 3rd July 2025, at a courier company in Lagos during a routine check by NDLEA officers from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI).
The agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the interception in a statement issued on Sunday from Abuja.
The NDLEA continues its efforts to stop drug trafficking through innovative and careful inspections, targeting suspicious shipments before they leave the country.
This latest seizure highlights the ongoing challenge of drug smuggling using creative methods, with traffickers hiding illegal substances in everyday items to evade detection.
Authorities urge the public and businesses to remain vigilant and support efforts to end drug trafficking, which threatens Nigeria’s security and the health of its citizens.
