The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has confirmed that some users are experiencing difficulties in making Stamp Duties payments on its online portal.
In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, the Commission attributed the issue to the recent upgrade of its online platform. It explained that the updated system is more advanced than those used by some of its partner agencies, which has led to some compatibility challenges.
“Please be assured that this matter is receiving the urgent attention of engineers from both agencies involved, and a permanent solution is almost in place,” the CAC said.
The Commission also announced that it is finalising a new AI-powered post-incorporation system for Business Names. This new system will make it easier for business owners to carry out post-registration updates, including the filing of Annual Returns.
According to the CAC, the Annual Returns feature is expected to be available before the end of the weekend.
The CAC urged users to remain patient as technical teams work to resolve the issue and improve service delivery on the upgraded portal.
